
Cardinals Fall to #24 UNC

Louisville moves to 13-10 on the year
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Up against its eighth top-25 ranked opponent this season in #24 North Carolina, UofL dropped another ACC match on Sunday afternoon at the Tar Heels' place.
Both Cardinal pairs in doubles were swiftly defeated 6-0 to give UNC the doubles point to start the match.
Will Mayew was the first UofL player to fall in singles, losing 6-1, 6-4 on Court 4. Next was Andre' Steinbach, falling 6-3, 6-1 to #82 Karl Poling, to give the Tar Heels a 3-0 lead.
While the Cardinals put up a hard fight, UNC earned the fourth point on Court 2 as Natan Rodrigues fell 6-3, 7-5.
Louisville moves to 13-10 and 2-6 in ACC action. UofL will return home for its final two matches at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cardinals will play Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. ET on Friday before Senior Day on Sunday at noon against Clemson.
