Cardinals Advance Three Into Finals on Day 4 of the NCAA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Louisville will send three swimmers into the finals in the last day of racing at the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday morning at the Bauerle Pool in the Gabrielsen Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia.
In the 200 Backstroke, Paige Hetrick earned a second swim went she posted a 1:52.03 to make the consolation final. Rye Ulett boarded a 1:54.19 to finish 29th.
In the 100 freestyle, the Cardinals pushed two into the A-final led by Christiana Regenauer's 47.20 and she will be joined by teammate Gabi Albiero, who went 47.33 and will be seeded eighth. Lucy Mehraban turned in a 47.82 to place 19th. Julia Dennis touched in 49.07 for 27th. and Karoline Barrett checked in a 49.27 to round out the Cardinals entries.
Fernanda Celidonio won her heat in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:09.59 (29th) and Kim Herkle posted a 2:08.92 for 23rd.
In the 200 butterfly, Tristen Ulett was into the wall in 1:55.89.
