Harting Wins Gold for Team USA at World Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville Cardinal Forever Zach Harting won gold medal as part of the Team USA 4 x 100 Medley Relay the 2024 Doha World Swimming Championships Sunday in Doha, Qatar.

Flyer Harting along with Hunter Armstrong (backstroke), Nic Fink (breast), and Matthew King (freestyle) combined for the winning time of 3:29.80 after dueling the Netherlands (3:31.23) most of the race to help the U.S. win its eighth gold medal of the competition.

Armstrong was second into the wall on the leadoff backstroke leg, handing off to Fink, who put the Americans in the lead by .7. Harting was next in the water and split .52.13 before King anchored putting up a final split of 47.32 and the win.
