Cards Continue Homestand with a Saturday Afternoon Doubleheader

Louisville will face Belmont and Butler to continue a nine-match homestand
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team will continue their nine-match homestand on Saturday afternoon, hosting a doubleheader against Belmont and Butler at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cardinals will face off against the Bruins at noon before challenging the Bulldogs at 4 p.m.
Louisville (5-3) is coming off a hard-fought weekend against Ivy League foes with a win against Cornell and a loss to No. 8 Harvard last weekend. Star doubles duo, Etienne Donnet and Natan Rodrigues, posted a stellar match against Harvard in which they upset the No. 4 doubles team in the country, moving their record to 6-1 on the year. The pair is currently ranked 50th in the ITA Doubles Rankings and Donnet is ranked 34th in singles.
Also ranked in singles is sophomore Will Mayew, coming in at No. 61. Mayew has had a strong start to the season with a 7-1 record.
Underclassmen duo Miguel Avendaño and Andre' Steinbach, are 5-2 on the year, with four of those wins being doubles point clinching wins.

Scouting the Bruins: Belmont has started the year 1-3 with its lone win over University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Junior Ian Cruz has been the standout for the Bruins, winning all his singles matches so far this season.
