Cardinals Look to Conclude Fall Season at Roberta Alison Fall Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team will compete in their fourth tournament of the fall season on Nov. 1st and 2nd when they travel to Alabama for the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

Play is slated to start at 9 a.m. on both days. Doubles matches will start both days, followed by singles action.

The Cards will compete against players from East Tennessee State, Troy, South Alabama, Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, and NC State.

Five of the teams were ranked in the ITA Preseason Team rankings with Georgia leading the way at No. 3. NC State comes in at No. 16, Auburn at No. 17, Georgia Tech at No. 25, and Alabama at No. 33. Across these five teams there are also 18 players ranked in singles competition and eight ranked doubles tandems. Georgia posted eight players in the singles rankings, while NC State claimed three spots in the double's rankings.

This is the first time UofL will play since the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals on Oct. 10th through Oct. 14th. Louisville sophomore Lika Peresypkina led the way for the Cardinals at ITA Regionals, playing all the way to the Round of 16. Between qualifying and the main draw, the Cards won 11 singles matches and five doubles matches during competition.
