LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville cross country teams are set to begin postseason competition on Friday morning at the ACC Cross Country Championships.
The event, hosted by NC State University, will be contested at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., which will also host the 2024 ACC Men's & Women's Soccer Championships in mid-November.
Friday's championship meet will begin at 9:40 a.m. ET with the men's 8K, while the women's 6K will start at 10:30 a.m. ET.
An awards ceremony will follow immediately after the conclusion of the women's 6K to crown the individual and team champions as well as honor the top 21 finishers in both the men's and women's races as All-ACC.
The duration of the meet will be streamed live on ACC Network and on the ESPN app with coverage beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET. More meet information can be found here.
The Cardinals will be looking to improve upon their finishes at last year's ACC Championships in Tallahassee, Fla., where the women placed 13th in the team standings and the men finished 14th.
The Louisville women last competed two weeks ago at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals with Layla Roebke leading the team through the line for the second time this season, recording a 6K time of 20:11.3 in Madison.
On the men's side, the Cardinals last competed in early October while splitting between the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational and Live in Lou Classic. Ian Kibiwot has led the charge for the Louisville men through two races this season, finishing as the overall runner-up at the Southern Showcase before placing fourth overall at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational with an 8K time of 22:50.3.
