LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville field hockey team will continue Atlantic Coast Conference play this weekend when the Cardinals play host to No. 11 Duke Friday at 3 p.m. at Trager Stadium.

• Following Friday's home finale, the Cardinals will honor the senior class of 2024, Filippa Niebuhr and Caroline Pusey along with fifth-year seniors Mia Duchars, Brandelynn Heinbaugh and Aimee Plumb.
• Louisville enters the weekend with a 5-9 record and a 1-5 mark in ACC play, good for seventh in league standings. The Cards have lost their last six games by a slim one goal margin and stand seventh in the conference rankings. Most recently, Louisville fell 3-2 in double overtime at Wake Forest on Sunday following a 2-1 loss to top-ranked North Carolina on Friday.
• Rylie Wollerton leads the team with five goals and has added two assists for 12 points. Izzy Bianco follows with four goals and three assists for 11 points. A total of nine players have accounted for at least one of the Cardinals' 24 goals on the season with six players recording multiple goals.
• Emily Young and Brandelynn Heinbaugh have split goalkeeper duties thus far. Heinbaugh, a graduate transfer from JMU has a 1.35 goals against average with wins against Penn and Stanford, while Young, a redshirt freshman, carries a 2.18 goals against average, earning the victories against American University, Cornell and Ball State.
• Izzy Bianco, Mia Duchars and Aimee Plumb were tabbed to the 2024 NFHCA Division I Watchlist.
• Aimee Plumb was named to the 2024 Preseason All-ACC team as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Cardinals were picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the preseason poll.
• The Cardinals' eight-game home slate featured four ACC opponents including defending national champion North Carolina along with a non-conference showdown with NCAA runner-up Northwestern.

Last Meeting: November 1, 2023 - Duke won 1-0 in the semifinals of the ACC Championship. The Blue Devils also won last year's regular season meeting 2-1 in Durham.
Scouting the Blue Devils: No. 11-ranked Duke enters the weekend with an 8-4 record, standing tied for third in the ACC with a 4-1 mark in league play. The Blue Devils are currently on a four-game win streak - all shutouts.
• Goalkeeper Frederique Wollaert leads the NCAA with a 0.35 goals against average while Alaina McVeigh paces the team with eight goals and has dished out one assist for 17 points.
