Cards return to Trager Stadium this weekend for their ACC opener against Boston College on Friday at 6 p.m. Sunday’s game against Saint Joseph’s will now start at 10:30 a.m. and UofL will celebrate Senior Day in a postgame ceremony.

Parking: Fans attending games held at the University of Louisville may utilize the Floyd Street Parking Garage located across from Cardinal Park (Floyd Street entrance) for a $5 fee.
The No. 16-ranked University of Louisville field hockey team will return to Trager Stadium for a two-game homestand this weekend starting on Friday at 6 p.m. when Boston College visits for both teams' Atlantic Coast Conference opener. On Sunday, the Cards will play host to Saint Joseph's in a non-conference matchup at 10:30 a.m. The game was previously slated for a 12 p.m. start, but was moved up due to excessive heat in the forecast. Sunday will also mark Louisville's 2026 Senior Day celebration.

• The Cardinals bring a 4-2 record into the weekend following road losses at No. 1 Northwestern and No. 2 Iowa.
• Louisville is ranked No. 16 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll released on Sept. 15, dropping two spots from last week's ranking.

• Louisville was picked to finish eighth in the ACC preseason coaches poll.
• Louisville's Trager Stadium will also serve as the host site for the 2026 NCAA Field Hockey Championship November 20-22. It will be the seventh time that Trager Stadium will have served as the host site for event.
• In 2025, Louisville posted an 8-10 record and reached the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship which was held at Trager Stadium.
• The Cardinals return 16 letterwinners from last season including all-ACC selection Annabel Sep and USWNT U21 Team member Lauren Masters. Louisville also welcomes eight newcomers to the team. The 2026 roster also features Louisville natives Tyler Everslage, Megan Mauzy, Tatum Bohnert, Riley Guy and Reese Johnson.
• Justine Sowry has led Louisville to 198 wins in her time at Louisville.
• Sowry entering her 16th season at the helm. During her tenure, Sowry has guided the Cardinals to nine NCAA tournament appearances, advancing to the quarterfinals in three of the last six years and reaching the semifinals in 2020.

Series History: Louisville Leads 8-7
• Louisville is 5-5 in its last 10 meetings against the Eagles.
Last Meeting: Sunday October 26, 2025 – Boston College won 2-1 in a shootout in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Scouting the Eagles: Boston College enters its ACC opener with a 2-4 overall record with three of its losses coming at the hands of opponents ranked in the top 15 including No. 1 Northwestern, No. 3 Harvard and then-No. 13 Maryland.
• The Eagles have two of the top 15 goal scorers in the ACC with Klara Mueffelmann and Alex De Cain each recording three goals. In addition, two out of three of Klara Mueffelmann's goals have been game winners, which is fourth in the ACC.
• Charlotte Kramer averages the fourth most saves per game in the ACC with a total of 4.17.
• The Eagles are led by Kelly Dotton, who is entering her 12th season as the head coach and 15th total with the school. She was inducted into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame with the Class of 2024 and was once the 2002 ACC Player of the Year when she played for Wake Forest.

Scouting the Hawks: Saint Joseph's enters the weekend with a 2-4 record prior to its Atlantic 10 opener at Saint Louis on Friday. The Hawks are led offensively by Cat Arentz and Milou Kluyt, who have three goals apiece.
• Junior Goalkeeper Avianna Wagner posted a shutout against Lehigh earlier this season.
• Saint Joseph's is led by first year head coach Sam Brown. Coach Brown came from Syracuse, where he spent the previous three seasons as associate head coach under former Saint Joseph's head coach Lynn Farquhar.
