Peresypkina, Cards Bow Out of ITA Regionals

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – On Sunday, sophomore Lika Peresypkina fell in the Round of 16 to end Cardinal's run in the ITA Regionals hosted by MTSU.
Peresypkina was matched up against the sixth seed from Kentucky Zoe Hammond. The first set was back and forth with a 7-2 tie break that decided the first set in favor of Hammond 7-6. Hammond went onto win the second set 6-2 to end Peresypkina's run in the singles main draw.
The Cards won a total of 11 singles matches between the qualifying and main draw, along with five doubles matches on the weekend.
UofL will return to action at the beginning of November as they travel to Alabama to compete in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.
