Guerra Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's soccer forward Gage Guerra was named to the 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List released on Thursday by the United Soccer Coaches.
The junior was one of 37 men's players named to the list.
Guerra transferred to Louisville after two seasons at Army. The Houston native was named the 2022 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year after tallying 10 goals and three assists in 15 matches one season ago.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by the voting of Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
Fifteen men's players and 15 women's players will become Hermann Trophy semifinalists following completion of Division I All-America voting at the end of the fall season. On December 6th, the three women's finalists will be announced and on December 13th, the men's three finalists will be released.
The 2023 winner is revealed on Jan. 5th, 2024, at a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Mo.
Guerra and the Cardinals kick off the 2023 season Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. ET against No. 16 Tulsa at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.
