The Denmark native has played most recently with HB Koge
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville women's soccer head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes and her staff are excited to announce the addition of midfielder Viktoria Wik to the incoming class of 2023. Wik, a native of Denmark, has most recently been playing with HB HB Koge in the Kvindeligaen League.
"We are very excited to add Vik to our roster this fall," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is a technically gifted attacking player who will be a tremendous addition for us offensively. She is a quick and explosive 1-v-1 player with high level international experience and I'm certain that will allow her to transition to the ACC level relatively quickly."
Wik has played the last two seasons with HB Koge and they currently sit in first place in the Kvindeligaen with 60 points. During the 2021-22 season, HB Koge won the league title, the second league title in team history. HB Koge also qualified for the 2022 UEFA Women's Champions League and they advanced to the second round before falling to Juventus.
She has represented Denmark with the U-17 National Team in matches against the Netherlands and Switzerland. She was selected for the Euro Qualification rounds with the U-17 squad as well but it was canceled due to COVID.
