Cardinals Host Duke for Senior Day

UofL celebrates 11 seniors on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville returns to Atlantic Coast Conference play to host Duke on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET for Senior Day at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
The celebration for seniors begins at 12:45 p.m. Louisville will celebrate 11 seniors during its pre-game ceremony.
The Cardinals fell to 4-10 and 1-6 in the ACC after falling in overtime 13-12 to Cincinnati on Wednesday at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
Four Cardinals tallied a pair of goals in the loss, including Nicole Perroni, who tallied a team best four points with those two goals and a pair of assists.
Here are some career highlights from the 11 seniors who will be playing their final home game at Louisville.
#9 Kristen Pezzulo | Redshirt-Senior | Midfielder | Manalapan, N.J.
Kristen has played in 16 games with one start in her career. She has played in eight games this year and tallied her first career goal and assist against Butler. She did not compete in the 2023 season due to injury.
#4 Hannah Morris | Graduate Student | Attacker | Orillia, Ontario, Canada
Hannah has played in 71 games, making 38 starts throughout her five years in the red and black. She entered the record books in five different categories this season. She ranks No. 10 with 127 career goals, No. 8 with 36 free position goals, No. 10 with 298 shots, No. 9 with 213 shots on goal, and No. 5 with 71 career games played. Last season, she was named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team. She is currently second on the team with 19 goals this season and has recorded three hat tricks.
#2 Alexa Steffens | Senior | Attacker | Sammamish, Wash.
Alexa has played in 39 games for the Cardinals, starting seven times. She has score seven goals throughout her career with four of them coming during this season. Alexa has scored in the last three games. She is 2-2 on free position attempts and had one goal and two assists for a career-high four points against Cincinnati.
#18 Sydney Kirchenheiter | Senior | Defender | Severna Park, Md.
Sydney has played in every single game of her career, totaling 57 games played with 43 starts. She has had 32 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers, and three draw controls in her four years at UofL. This year, she has recorded five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Sydney recorded a career-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers against Butler on March 1, 2022
#20 Allegra Catalano | Senior | Attacker | Lake Worth, Fla.
Allegra has played in 54 games, starting 48 times for the red and black. Over the last four years, she has compiled 63 goals, 13 assists, 76 points, 172 shots, 26 ground balls, one draw control, and nine caused turnovers. This year, Allegra recorded a season-high four goals in the win against Marquette. She has notched seven hat tricks with a career-high five goals in 2022 against Virginia.
#22 Maggie Foster | Senior | Defender | Louisville, Ky.
Maggie has played in 56 games, starting in all but one. The defender has recorded 84 ground balls, 39 caused turnovers and five draw controls throughout her career. She has also recorded one goal. She ranks third on the team this season in ground balls (23) and caused turnovers (12) and has recorded a ground ball in 12 of the 14 games this season. The Louisville-native recorded a career-high two draw controls against Cincinnati.
#25 Izzy Holmes | Senior | Attacker | Rockford, Mich.
Izzy has played in 35 games for the Cardinals and has started twice. In her four years, she has earned six goals, four assists, ten points, five ground balls, and one caused turnovers. Izzy has a career shot on goal percentage of .778. Her two goals this season came in the last game against Cincinnati.
#26 Rachel Lifson | Senior | Midfielder | Richmond, Va.
Rachel has played in 46 games throughout her career, recording three starts. She has four ground balls, six caused turnovers, and 36 draw controls through her four years. Rachel scored the first goal of her career converting a free position attempt against Virginia Tech on April 8, 2023. She recorded two assists against Ohio State. Rachel has stepped into the draw circle several games this season.
#36 Madi McKee | Senior | Attacker | Glen Mills, Pa. | La Salle
Madi has played for the Cardinals for the last two seasons after transferring from La Salle. She has played in all 32 games, starting in all but one. She has totaled four goals, four assists, eight points, four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and 150 draw controls while at UofL. Combined with her 58 draw controls from La Salle, Madi ranks third in Cardinal history with 208 career draw controls and 3.92 career draw controls per game.
#45 Ashley Osborne | Senior | Defender | Louisville, Ky.
Ashley has played in 46 games for the red and black and has recorded 34 starts. In her four years, she has recorded 59 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers, and 10 draw controls. Ashley started the first six games of this season before suffering a season-ending injury. In 2022, she notched 33 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. Ashley is a winner of the 2023 ACC Top-Six award; an award given annually to six student-athletes from each ACC institution. The award recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding community service and community relations.
#88 Nicole Perroni | Senior | Midfielder | Whitby, Ontario
Nicole has played in 49 games in her career, earning 32 starts for the red and black. Nicole has recorded 90 goals, 15 assists, 105 points, 66 ground balls, 58 caused turnovers, and 114 draw controls. She is on a 33 game goal-scoring and point-scoring streak that dates back to April 2021. She leads the Cards this season with 30 goals, 37 points, 75 shots, 57 shots on goal, 27 ground balls, and 24 caused turnovers. She is on the career record book in three categories: No. 9 with 2.33 draw controls per game, No. 6 with 114 draw controls, and No. 9 with 1.18 caused turnovers per game.
About the Blue Devils
Duke (7-7, 1-6) is coming off a dominant 20-10 win against High Point on Tuesday. Four Blue Devils recorded a hat trick, and the offense was led by a career-high six points from Carly Bernstein with three goals and three assists. Katie DeSimone led the team with four goals. Maddie Jenner led the team with 10 draw controls while Sophia LeRose protected the net for 49:56 minutes and recorded six saves.
