Cardinals Travel to No. 5 Boston College

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse program continues Atlantic Coast Conference play as they travel to No. 5 Boston College on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET.
The Cardinals (4-2, 1-1) picked up its first-ever win over Pittsburgh with a 12-9 victory last Sunday at L& N Stadium.
Hannah Morris reached her season high with her first hat trick and Nicole Perroni notched her third hat trick of the year to pace the Cards. Perroni added in an assist, three ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers. The Nakazawa sisters had two goals each while Kylea Dobson and Abby Scully each knocked in one goal. Negai Nakazawa also earned two ground balls, one draw control, and two caused turnovers. Sara Addeche held down the net playing all 60 minutes and making nine saves.
The Cardinals are playing their third ranked opponent of the season after losing to No. 9 Denver to open the year and defeating No. 25 Colorado. Louisville is looking for its first win over a top-five opponent since taking down No. 4 Notre Dame 10-9 in 2016.

Boston College (4-2, 1-1) took down Brown in dominant fashion 17-5 on Wednesday. The Eagles were led by Belle Smith, who scored a season-high five goals with four coming in the first half. Two other Eagles scored five points as Jenn Medjid notched three goals and two assists and Mckenna Davis netted a goal and four assists. Seven other Eagles scored in the victory. Rachel Hall has spent the most time guarding the net this season recording 34 saves through 253:12 minutes.
Series History – The Eagles control the series 1-9 winning the last eight matchups. Last season, Boston College defeated UofL 19-10 at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
