Louisville Set to Host NC State this Weekend

Cards play host to NC State in a three-game ACC series this weekend at Ulmer Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team will look to extend a four-game win streak when the Cardinals play host to NC State for a three-game ACC series this weekend at Ulmer Stadium. Admission is free.

Clear Bag Policy: A Clear Bag Policy remains in place at all UofL athletics facilities. Fans may bring one clear bag, either a one-gallon clear Ziploc-style storage bag, or a 12 x 6 x 12 inches clear tote bag.
Parking: Fans are encouraged to park in the Floyd Street Parking Garage for a $5 fee.

• Taylor Roby leads the team with 10 home runs and owns the school's career mark with 50. She also stands tied for first in the ACC and tied for eighth in the NCAA in home runs.
• Roby (5-3) also leads the Cardinals' pitching staff with a 1.92 ERA
• Alyssa Zabala (9-3) carries a 2.55 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 57.2 innings of work. The freshman was named to the NFCA Leadoff All-Tournament team after an impressive collegiate debut.

• Head coach Holly Aprile is entering her fifth season as UofL's head coach. During her time at the helm – which includes the COVID-19 impacted 2020 season, Aprile guided the Cardinals to 112 wins and an NCAA regional final appearance in 2019.

Series Record: Louisville leads 12-10
Last Meeting: April 1-3, 2022 - NC State took two of three games in Raleigh. The Wolfpack won the opener 7-5 with Louisville taking the second game 9-7 and NC State winning the rubber game 10-6.
Scouting the Wolfpack: NC State enters the week with an 11-17 overall record and a four-game win streak following an 8-7 win over Radford on Wednesday. The Wolfpack carries a 4-5 conference record after sweeping Boston College in a three-game series last weekend and going 1-2 against Notre Dame.
