
Louisville Returns Home for Back-to-Back Matchups

Cardinals host Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse program returns home for a pair of games this weekend against regional-rival Cincinnati on Friday and Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The Cards will step out of league play and welcome Cincinnati for 4 p.m. at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium. With inclement weather threatening the Louisville area, the time could be adjusted. Follow GoCards.com or @LouisvilleLacrosse for updated information.
Louisville remains home for an ACC matchup against Pitt at 4 p.m. at L&N Stadium. The fans should use Gate 2 to enter the stadium, which will open at 3 p.m. Both games have a clear bag policy.
The Cardinals (3-2) split their last two games falling to No. 10 Virginia 9-19 and taking down Vanderbilt 15-12. Kylea Dobson had a stellar weekend, recording nine goals on ten shots with three against Virginia and a career-high six against Vanderbilt. Junior Nicole Perroni continued her goal-scoring streak with one against Virginia and four at Vanderbilt. The Nakazawa sisters continued excellence as Kokoro finished the weekend with four goals and Negai ended with three.
Madi McKee led the Cards with 16 draw controls to reach her 110t career draw control. Against Vandy, Olivia Toll had a team-high four caused turnovers. All three goalies saw time this weekend with Sara Addeche notching a team-high seven saves.
About the Bearcats
Cincinnati (4-2) lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Ohio State 12-13 on Tuesday. The Bearcats are led by freshman Camryn Callaghan, who entered the game top three in the nation in goal scoring. The attacker recorded a hat trick on seven shots, three ground balls, and one caused turnover and went 1-1 on free position shots. Two other Bearcats had a hat trick. Lauren Ottensmeyer had three goals on five shots and Julie Rose was three for three on shots. Goalie Ashley Lapp played all 61:19 minutes and made nine saves.

Pittsburgh (3-2) split the weekend with a 4-16 loss versus Syracuse on Saturday and a 16-8 win over Canisius on Tuesday. The Panthers are led by Maeve Murry who had six goals against Canisius and has 11 goals on the season along with 13 draw controls. Camdyn O'Donnell has eight goals and ten points on the season. Jill Fenech leads the team with 17 draw controls and has eight ground balls on the season. Goalie Hannah Van Middelem has spent the most time between the pipes and has 52 saves with a .495 save percentage so far this season.
