Cardinals Finish 15th in Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Louisville women's golf team finished their first tournament of the spring season, the Moon Golf Invitational, in 15th overall. Carmen Griffiths led the team in scoring, carding a 1-over (217).
LSU came in first overall with a tournament record score of 30-under (834). Augusta's Mirabel Ting won the individual title after an exciting playoff hole against Michigan State's Leila Raines. Both individuals shot a tournament record-tying score of 13-under (203).
Hana Ryskova played in her first tournament back following an injury last year. She shot 72-75-71 for an overall score of 2-over (218).
Rylee Suttor, who shot a career-low 66 in round two, ended the tournament with a 1-over (217). Ryann Honea shot 5-over (221), Mairead Martin shot 7-over (223), and Gabbi Bentancourt shot 14-over (230).
For the individual participants, Lauren Thibodeau shot 12-over (228) after an eagle on hole 18 in round three. Molly Lyne carded a 14-over (230), Carly Haines carded a 16-over (232), and Agustina Gomez Cisterna carded a 17-over (233).
The Cardinals will return to the course when they travel to Mesa, Ariz. to play in the Clover Cup hosted by Notre Dame. The tournament will take place March 10-12.
