
Hoeing, Miller to Headline 2024 Louisville Baseball Leadoff Dinner

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville baseball alumni Bryan Hoeing and Bobby Miller will be the featured guests at the 2024 Leadoff Dinner presented by Republic Bank. The annual event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at The Galt House Hotel.
The annual dinner will begin at 7 p.m. ET in the Grand Ballroom at The Galt House Hotel. Tickets for the Leadoff Dinner are $75 each and can be purchased online here. More information about the event can be obtained by contacting Ronee Baxter at 502-852-2015 or at ronee@GoCards.com.
The 2024 Leadoff Dinner guests were among a program-record 14 Louisville baseball alumni to spend time on MLB rosters during the 2023 season and 45 former Cardinals assigned to professional teams at the conclusion of the year. Click here to see a complete list of Cardinals in MLB and MiLB.
Bryan Hoeing
RHP, Miami Marlins
A seventh-round draft pick in 2019, Hoeing made his Major League debut on August 20, 2022. The right-hander has pitched in 41 games since then, including 33 appearances on the mound in 2023. Hoeing made seven starts this season, highlighted by a five-inning, no-hit effort against Pittsburgh on June 24.
Bobby Miller
RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers
The 29th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, Miller reached the big leagues on May 23, 2023, allowing one run in five innings against the Atlanta Braves and was a fixture in the Los Angeles rotation the rest of the way. Miller finished his rookie season 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 124.1 innings.
