Four Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville women's soccer team was well represented on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team with Karsyn Cherry, Erynn Floyd, Hayley Howard and Addie Chester all earning the honors. The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Howard (exercise science) is a junior midfielder who played and started all 18 games for the Cardinals last season. She tallied her first career assist against Wyoming on Sept. 10. Then she set a career high with two assists in the 3-2 home win over Pitt on Sept. 21.
Cherry (exercise science) is a sophomore defender that also played and started all 18 games for the Cardinals this season. She played all 90 minutes nine times this season, including in the shutout over Northern Kentucky on Aug. 27.
Floyd (business) is a sophomore goalkeeper that started all 18 games for the Cards in net. She tallied four clean sheets on the season, including in the season finale in the 1-0 win over No. 25 Duke. She tallied a career high nine saves on the road against Indiana and had four or more saves eight times this past season.
