Louisville Baseball Adds No. 3 Recruiting Class

The Cardinals signed a top-three class for the second consecutive year.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the second consecutive season, head coach Dan McDonnell and the University of Louisville baseball program have signed a top-three recruiting class.
Louisville's 2022 class was ranked third nationally by Baseball America, tying for the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history. The Cardinals also signed the No. 3 class in 2018 and 2021.
The Cardinals had the top-ranked class in the ACC, which had seven classes ranked among the top 25.
The 2022 class marks the 14th time in the last 16 years the Cardinals have signed a top 25 recruiting class.
Louisville's signing class was also ranked sixth nationally by Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game.
The Louisville program is in the middle of its fall season. The Cardinals will take on Purdue Sunday in their second exhibition of the fall. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Jim Patterson Stadium.
