
Greenwood, Roby, Otis Earn ACC Honors

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Louisville's Carmyn Greenwood was selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Softball first team, Taylor Roby was named to the third team and Korbe Otis earned All-Freshman team honors as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

This marks the second straight all-ACC accolade for Greenwood (Birmingham, Ala.) who was a second team selection in 2021. The graduate senior currently leads the team with an overall .407 batting average and stands first in the ACC with 70 hits, 54 runs, while ranking second with 52 RBIs. Greenwood also paces the team with 18 doubles and 23 multi-hit games. Entering the week, the left fielder stands third in the NCAA in triples (7) and fifth in total bases (144) and is ranked in the top 20 in hits, doubles, slugging percentage, runs per game and RBIs. Greenwood was named ACC Player of the Week on May 2. She was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Southeast Region first team member in 2021.

Roby (Mt. Washington, Ky.) takes home her second consecutive all-conference nod after being named to the first team last season. The redshirt senior has a belted out a career high 15 home runs on the season, good for second in the ACC. She has also driven in a career-high 40 RBIs and leads the team with 15 multi-RBI games. Additionally, Roby has also shouldered the bulk of the pitching duties while garnering a career-best 15 wins in the circle and carrying a 3.43 ERA with 107 strikeouts in 163.1 innings of work. She was an NFCA All-Southeast region second team selection in 2021.

Otis (Littleton, Colo.) earns ACC All-Freshman honors following an impressive rookie campaign in which she currently stands third on the team with aa .294 batting average. The centerfielder is the only freshman to start every game for Louisville and stands second on the team with 31 runs, three triples and six stolen bases.

The Cardinals (27-24, 10-14 ACC) earned the No. 8 seed in the ACC Championship and will open the tournament against ninth-seeded Syracuse on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Pittsburgh's Vartabedian Field.
