
Cardinals Hit the Road to Play Cincinnati on Wednesday

Louisville, Ky. – University of Louisville women's lacrosse begins a three-game road stretch this Wednesday when they travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on the Bearcats at Nippert Stadium. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Senior Hannah Morris leads the team with 24 goals this season, which rank third in the ACC and seventh in the NCAA. Her 3.43 goals per game rank fifth in the ACC. She netted 19 goals during the homestand, including a career-high five against Boston College and two four goal performances against Marquette and Butler.

Louisville has won the draw in six of its first seven games this season and its 17.14 draws per game rank third in the ACC and 10th in the NCAA and its .569 draw control percentage is fourth in the ACC. They have recorded at least 17 draw controls in six of seven games this season and are winning the draw control battle, 120-91.

Junior Madi McKee leads the Cardinals with 39 draw controls and her 5.57 draws per game rank fifth in the ACC.

Freshman goalkeeper J Pleck has been solid between the posts this season, making 35 saves, 7.0 per game, with a .393 save percentage. Pleck ranks fifth in the ACC in saves and save percentage.

ABOUT THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats are off to a 3-4 start this season. Last season, Cincinnati finished with a 7-10 record, 3-7 in the AAC. The Bearcats enter Wednesday's contest on a two-game win streak, winning their last matchup at Akron, 17-5. UC is led by senior attacker Kylie Nause, who earned AAC Attack Player of the Week honors after the team's win over Gardner Webb. Nause leads the team with 27 goals and is first in the AAC and second in the NCAA. The Bearcats have a new face in goal this season in freshman Sophie O'Brien. O'Brien has played in all seven games and has 46 saves and a .354 save percentage so far this season. She ranks third in saves, fourth in save percentage and fifth in saves per game in the AAC. As a team, Cincinnati is first in the AAC with 16.71 ground balls per game, 31.86 shots per game and 23.29 shots on goal per game.
