
Cardinals Close Road Trip at No. 8 Duke on Thursday Night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse wraps up its three-game road trip this Thursday at Duke, taking on the No. 8 Blue Devils at Koskinen Stadium. First draw is set for 8 p.m. ET and will broadcast on the ACC Network.
UofL continues its conference slate, starting the year 1-2. The Cards enter Thursday's contest after falling to No. 2 North Carolina 21-8 on Sunday afternoon. The team defeated Virginia Tech 14-11 at home on Feb. 26 to open league play.

Louisville looks to improve on their 2-1 record when following a loss.

Senior Hannah Morris leads the team with 27 goals this season, which rank seventh in the ACC and 18th in the NCAA. Her 3.0 goals per game rank ninth in the ACC. Junior Nicole Perroni is second on the team with 24 goals this year, which rank 11th in the ACC and 25th in the NCAA.

Freshman goalkeeper J Pleck has been solid between the posts this season, making 45 saves with a .385 save percentage. Pleck ranks sixth in the ACC in saves.

ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
The Blue Devils are off to an 8-1 start this season, 1-1 in the ACC. Last season, Duke finished with an 11-8 record, going 4-6 in league play. Duke made it to the NCAA quarterfinals in 2021, where they fell 22-10 to No. 2 Northwestern. The Blue Devils enter Thursday's contest on a two-game win streak, winning their last matchup vs. Penn, 21-10. Duke is led by grad attacker Catriona Barry, who leads the nation with 37 goals and 57 points. Sophomore attacker Katie DeSimone has been the next best thing to Barry on offense as she is second on the team with 32 goals and 17 assists for 49 points. In goal, senior keeper Sophia LeRose has posted 38 saves with a .380 save percentage. As a team, Duke is first in the ACC and NCAA with 20.62 draw controls per game and lead the league in draw control percentage (.660) and caused turnovers per game (12.00).
