Cards Hoping to Clinch Share of ACC Crown
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 4-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team heads to Notre Dame for the final match of conference play and will vie for a share of the ACC crown on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. ET. Â Both Louisville and Pitt have a chance to clinch a share of the 2022 ACC Volleyball Championship this week.
Louisville Can Clinch
Louisville would clinch at least a share of the league title with a win over Notre Dame on Wednesday. Pitt must win its last two matches against Georgia Tech (Nov. 23) and Boston College (Nov. 26) to earn a share of the championship. The ACC volleyball champion is determined based on the regular-season record, as there is no ACC volleyball tournament. If Pitt wins both matches, the tiebreaker goes head-to-head (the two are 1-1 head to head) so then moves to set scores and Louisville is 5-3 in sets with Pitt which would make UofL the automatic qualifier for the ACC. Â
