
Cardinals Send Four to Finals on Last Day of Wave I at US Olympic Trials

Dunn, Duncan, Regenauer and Kreiley earn second swims
OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Louisville swimming team sent four Cardinals to the finals in the final night of racing at the US Olympic Trials at the CHI Health Center.

In the sprint event, Cardinal Christiana Regenauer went 25.81 to tie for third in the B-Final of the 50M Freestyle. The event was won by Missy Cundiff, who posted a 25.46. NCAP's Camille Spink and STAC's Anna Moesch tied for second with a time of 25.54. In the event of a tie for 2nd, both swimmers advance to Wave II, so all three will advance to Wave II.

 In the A-final of the 50M Freestyle, UofL's Caleb Duncan turned in a 23.00 to finish 7th overall. The race was won by Jack Armstrong, who had a lifetime best to advance to the Wave II meet with a 22.55. NLSA's Eric Anderson will also move on with a personal best of 22.57.
In the 200M IM, Diana Dunn finished fifth in the 200M Individual Medley with a time of 2:17.74.Â

Aidan Kreiley touched fourth in the A-Final of the 200M Breaststroke. The event was won by UCSB's Alec Cullen (2:14.38) just ahead of NCAP's Jakob Frick (2:14.40) went down to the wire in the earning a berth at the Wave II meet.
