Rhea Verma is highlight for the Cardinals
The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 6-1 to No. 14-ranked Virginia Saturday afternoon in Charlottesville, Va.

UofL dropped the doubles point when Raven Neely and Tatiana Simova fell at No. 2 and then Virginia clinched the point when Vivian Glozman and Amber O'Dell won 6-2 over Dina Chaika and Chelsea Sawyer.

The Cardinals were unable to create any momentum in singles. UofL's Nikolina Jovic fell to No. 80-ranked Emma Navarro before No. 47-ranked Rosie Johanson downed Raven Neely 6-1, 6-3 to go up 3-0. The Cavs clinched the match when Jelena Vujanic fell 6-0, 6-2 to No. 104-ranked Amber O'Dell.Â

The Cardinals got a point when Rhea Verma won at the No. 5 slot with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Vivian Glozman.

UofL returns to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center next week when it hosts NC State on March 12 and Wake Forest on March 14 with both matches starting at noon.
