
Louisville Plays at Western Kentucky on Saturday

The Cardinals and the Hilltoppers will begin play at 3 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. –University of Louisville women's soccer plays at Western Kentucky (5-1-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast via Facebook on HSSN.
The Cardinals are 5-6 on the season and 1-1 in the spring. In the spring, Louisville has a 1-0 win at Dayton and a 1-0 loss vs. Auburn.

Redshirt senior goalkeeper Gabby Kouzelos was named All-ACC third team in the fall. Her .800 save percentage ranks third in the ACC. She averages 4.36 saves per game, which ranks fourth in the league. Her five shutouts are fourth in the ACC.

She recorded a career-high 10 saves in the Cardinals' 2-0 loss at No. 10 Virginia on Oct. 15, 2020. It marked the second time she recorded at least nine saves in a game in the fall, a benchmark that previously hadn't been met by a Louisville goalkeeper since Taylor Bucklin had 10 in a 0-0 tie vs. Duke at Lynn Stadium on Oct. 11, 2015. Kouzelos' career-high coming into this season was six saves, which she had accomplished three times.

Junior Delaney Snyder returns to the pitch after leading the Cardinals in the fall season with four assists. Prior to the fall season, she had just two career assists. In the season opener at Miami, she scored the first goal of the season, which marked her 8th career goal.

With Emina Ekic now in the NWSL, Snyder is the teams' active season leader with three assists and six points. She is one of five players tied for the team-lead with one goal.

Western Kentucky's 2-1 victory over Marshall on Thursday, March 18 gives them a 5-1-1 overall record heading into Saturday afternoon's match. Ellie Belcher scored off a header in the 26th minute on a corner kick from Brina Micheels. Ansley Cate launched the game winning goal from outside the box that crept past the Marshal goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of play. WKU posted sixteen shots with eight on target for the match. WKU is led offensively by Ambere Barnett who has five goals, 12 points and 15 shots on goal for the season. Micheels leads the Lady Toppers with three assists and goalkeeper Ashley Kobylinski has 15 saves with a 0.714 save percentage and has two shutouts.
