Ryskova Fires 1-Under Par 71 During the First Round of the Liz Murphey

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Hana Ryskova shot a 1-under-par to lead the University of Louisville women's golf team after the first round of the highly competitive Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga., on Friday.
Facing a field featuring eight top-25 teams, the Cardinals closed the first round in a three-way tie for sixth place with Georgia and Auburn at 7-over-par.
No. 4 LSU shot even-par to hold a two-stroke lead over the field heading into Saturday's second round of action. Arkansas is in second place and Southern California is currently in third place.
Ryskova started off strong by shooting 4-under-par on the front nine, capturing four birdies on her first nine chances. She would struggle a bit on the next nine holes by shooting a 3-over-par to end the day in a tie for 12th with a 71.
Senior Lauren Hartlage is tied for 15th place after carding an even-par 72 after 18 holes. The fifth-year player opened the tournament by shooting 1-over on the front nine holes but came back with a pair of birdies on No. 17 and No. 18 to get to even.
Margot Bechadergue fired a 2-over-par 74 to close the first round in a tie for 26th after she came back on the final nine holes to shoot even-par.
Mairead Martin carded a 6-over-par 78 to sit in a tie for 66th, while Agustina Gomez-Cisterna is tied for 74th after she round of 79.
