Cardinals Record Four Victories on Final Day of Cardinal Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky.— The University of Louisville women's tennis team closed out the Cardinal Tennis Classic with four singles victories against Middle Tennessee on Sunday. The Classic is held in a hidden dual match format.
Andrea Di Palma continued her dominant play, recording a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Zani Bernard. Chelsea Sawyer and Tyra Richardson both lost their first sets before rallying to win the next two. Sawyer dropped her first set but rallied to win the next two sets over Lily Sophie-Schmidt 6-2, 10-5. Richardson won her next two sets over Noelle Mauro 6-1,10-1. Rhea Verma defeated Muskan Gupta in three sets; 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.
The Cardinals will return to the tennis court on Nov. 5-7 when they will compete at the John Cade Classic in Starkville, Miss.
