Cards complete Day 2

MORGANTOWN, W.V. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team completed its second day of competition at the Martha Thorn Invitational on the campus of West Virginia University.

The Cards, playing in a hidden dual format, fell 4-2 to Penn State in singles and 3-0 to WVU in doubles.

Louisville picked up wins at No. 3 singles when Dina Chaika downed Karly Friedland 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Tyra Richardson held off Gracey Hirsch 7-5, 6-2 at No. 5.

The Cardinals will be playing again on Sunday at Mountaineer Tennis Courts and Summit Tennis Academy, an indoor facility – if needed. The doubles format will be 6 game set with No-Ad scoring. Singles will be two out of three sets with a 10-point match tiebreak for the 3^rd set.
