Â
Why did you choose Louisville?
It is one of the best soccer programs in the country. When I had a phone call with the coaches, they made me feel that I would be welcome and wasted no time in offering me a spot. As well as all of that, Louisville is the city where I was born and it was nice to return—there is something about this city that is special.
Â
How do you know coming to Louisville was the right decision for you?Â
I am surrounded by players in this program that are experienced. I am able to learn from them as well as them learning from me. No matter where I end up I can say that I gained experience from my colleagues here and that is the most important thing.
Â
What is one thing our program has taught you?
I have been learning to monitor my aggressive, competitive spirit and to not let it carry off the field.
Â
What is your favorite thing about our team/program?Â
My favorite thing is my teammates.
Â
What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Louisville?
Louisville is a big school for sports, so there is a lot of pressure to perform well. I enjoy having the pressure—it makes me play better.
Â
What do you miss most about being on campus?
I miss being able to play, but it is also nice to have a break and to rest.
Â
What are you doing with yourself during your free time?Â
I have been taking care of my classwork and I have been doing as much training as I can on my own. Aside from that, I like to listen to music, play FIFA, and watch movies.
Â
What's one thing you wish you had with you during this time?
I have a ball, that's all I need.
Â
How are you continuing to stay in shape during this time?
I usually try to run at least a few miles per day, as well as strength training. I also just mess around with the ball a lot to have fun.
Â
How have you and your teammates been keeping in contact?
We just message on WhatsApp. We have a group chat with all the players.
