February 24, 2020 | Men's Soccer
The Youth Camp will be June 8-12, while the Overnight Camps are July 9-12 and July 19-22
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Head coach John Michael Hayden and the University of Louisville men's soccer program have announced the details regarding its summer Youth and Overnight camps. The Youth Camp is scheduled for June 8-12, while the first Overnight Camp will be July 9-12 and the second session will be July 19-22.
Â
The Youth Camp is $250 and for boys age 5-13. The half day Summer Youth Skills Camp is designed to develop the fundamental techniques of soccer in a fun and positive learning environment. Skill Development is a major focus of the curriculum, teaching the proper techniques of the game in small groups according to age and ability. Campers learn the basic principles of soccer in stations and then apply the skills in small sided games. The 3 v 3 Tournament is a highlight of the camp, giving players the opportunity to compete in a bracketed, round robin style format. The tournament enters a knock out stage, culminating in a final match played at Lynn Stadium in front of the full camp.
Â
The Overnight Camps are $600 and for high school boys 13-18. The overnight Camp is a three night, four-day experience, designed for athletes with the ambition and ability to play at the collegiate level, the camp provides a highly competitive player pool and training environment. Players experience technical and tactical field sessions as well as participating in competitive tournaments and participating in interactive discussions. Campers are coached by the staff at the University of Louisville and a select group of college coaches from across the country in Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
