The Cardinals will also take on rival Kentucky at Lynn Family Stadium to close out the spring slate on April 18 at noon. The match will be a part of the Thunder Over Louisville 2020 festivities.

The Cardinals kick off their spring schedule against Evansville on March 1 for a closed door match. They then host Xavier at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium on UofL's campus on March 21. Following the 502 Derby, the Cards return to campus to host Lindsey Wilson on April 4 at Lynn Stadium, before closing out the spring schedule against Kentucky. The two home matches at UofL's Lynn Stadium are free and open to the public.
Â
UofL concluded its first season under head coach John Michael Hayden with a 10-8-2 record, which included two NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament victories over USF and No. 14 UC Davis. The Cards qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year and have now made the NCAA Tournament 12 of the last 13 seasons. The Cardinals advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years and the seventh time in the last 10 seasons. The Cards handed eventual national champion Georgetown its lone loss of the season. UofL finished the season ranked 20th in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
Â
The second annual 502 Derby will see the Cardinals take on Louisville City FC, a team that has appeared in the last three United Soccer League Cup finals, and winning the USL Cup twice. The LouCity roster features a pair of Louisville men's soccer alumni in veteran Paolo DelPiccolo (2009-12) and new signee Jimmy Ockford (2013).
