Cards Jump Seven Spots on Final Day, Finish Third

Hana Ryskova led the Cardinals in a tie for sixth place
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Louisville women's golf team jumped seven spots on the final day of the Moon Golf Invitational, as the Cardinals finished in third place with a 54-hole score of 864.

Host by the Cardinals at the par-72, 6,279 yard Duran Golf Club, Ole Miss captured the team title with a two-day score of 858. Natalie Srinivasan of Furman earned the individual medalist honors with a 10-under-par 206.

The Cards finished the tournament three shots back of second place Augusta. UofL concluded the second round with a team score of 285 and the final round with a 287. Louisville finished ahead of ACC rival North Carolina, along with nationally ranked Alabama (12th) and Kentucky (#21), along with Furman who is receiving votes. The Cards also finished ahead of UCF who was ranked 35th in the Golfstat ranking.

Lead the charge for Louisville was Hana Ryskova who tied for sixth place with a two-day score of 3-under-par 213. Ryskova finished her second round with a 2-under-par 70 and finished the weekend with an even-par 72. She tied for the team lead with 11 birdies for the tournament and was fourth in the field in par-4 scoring.

Lauren Hartlage finished her tournament tying for 10th place with a 1-under-par 215. Hartlage shot scores of 73 and 3-under-par 69 to wrap up the week. She finished the tournament with 11 birdies and was fourth in par-3 scoring for the tournament. One shot back in a tie for 12th place was Lauren Thibodeau, shooting a second-round 3-under-par 69 and a final-round 73. She also tied for the team lead with 11 birdies.

Mairead Martin carded a three-round score of 221 and finished tied for 35th place. She capped off her tournament with rounds of 73 and 74. Delaney Shah rounded out the team scoring with a 223. She finished tied for 45h after shooting rounds of 75 and 73 over the final 36 holes.

The Cardinals had a trio of golfers playing as individuals. Leading the way was Margot Bechadergue who finished tied for 14th with a score of 1-over-par 217. She led the team with 38 pars for the week, as she carded rounds of 74 and 75 on the final day. Agustina Gomez Cisterna tied for 57th with a two-day score of 226. She recorded an 81 and a 74 in the final rounds. Meghan Nay finished 90th and she carded scores of 77 and 76 during the second and third rounds.

Louisville next competed when they travel to Western Kentucky for a match play event February 29 at 9:20 a.m.
