
Louisville travels to No. 11 Virginia on Thursday

The Cardinals and the Cavaliers will begin play at 8 p.m. ET.
Louisville, Ky – After earning a 2-0 victory over Boston College at Lynn Stadium, the University of Louisville women's soccer team will travel to No. 11 Virginia on Thursday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACC ESPN Network.
The Cardinals are off to a 3-1 on the young season, while the Cavaliers enter the match-up at 4-1-1 following a 3-0 victory over Miami in Charlottesville.
Louisville started off hot in the first half against Boston College last Sunday with Emina Ekic advancing the ball to Taylor Kerwin, who knocked it in for her first goal of the season.
The UofL defense continued to be impressive by not allowing a single shot on goal the entire game. Ekic scored her fifth goal of the season in the 55' minute of the match.
Entering the game Thursday night, Ekic with 19 career assists, is one assist away from tying the individual career record for assists at Louisville, held by Monique Gjini.
The Cavaliers enter Thursday's matchup after an extended break having not played since their victory against Miami on Oct. 4. UVA was scheduled to play North Carolina on Oct. 8, but ACC officials canceled the game due to complications related to COVID-19 on UNC's roster.
