Senior helped UofL to a 2-0 start in the ACC

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Louisville senior outside hitter Melanie McHenry has been tabbed as the ACC Volleyball Player of the Week,

McHenry shined for the Cardinals in wins over North Carolina and NC State, recording a double-double in both matches. The senior from Speedway, Indiana, posted 29 kills and 13 digs in a 3-2 win over NC State on Friday. McHenry followed that performance with an 18-kill, 16-dig effort against North Carolina on Sunday. She added six blocks and four aces to go along with her 47 kills and 29 digs for the weekend.

McHenry now ranks No. 10 in all-time kills for the Cardinals with 1,291. She is ranked No. 24 in the nation for active players' career kills. She tied a career-high with 30 kills against Cincinnati.
