Shah Shoots 4-Under During Second Round of Schooner Classic

Cardinals sit in 10th place heading into the final round
NORMAN, Okla. - University of Louisville women's golfer Delaney Shah carded a 4-under-par 66 during the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic, the second lowest round by any golfer in the tournament. She led the Cardinals to a team score of 286, as they are in 10th place with a 36-hole score of 576.

Hosted by Oklahoma at the par-70, 6,048-yard Belmar Golf Club, the host Sooners continue to hold a one shot lead with a two-day score of 3-under-par 557. Mikhaela Fortuna also of Oklahoma leads the field with a 5-under-par 135.

The Cards sit one shot back of ninth place Clemson and three back of eighth place Florida State. UofL is four shots up on Notre Dame.

Shah made one of the largest improvements in the standings by any golfer on day two, as she jumped 32 spots and is tied for 18th with a 141. She finished her round with five birdies and only one bogey. Shah carded a 3-under-par on the back nine, including a birdie on her final hole, the par-4, 406-yard No. 18.

Lauren Hartlage is tied with Shah after carding a 72 during the second round, which included a pair of birdies on Nos. 4 and 8.

Mairead Martin and Hana Ryskova are tied for 49th place with two-day scores of 147. Martin shot a 72 during the second round that included five birdies. Ryskova finished her day with a 76.

Lauren Thibodeau rounded out the scoring for the day with a 77 as she is in 75th place with a 155. She carded four birdies on the day, including back-to-back birdies on Nos. 2 and 3.

The final round of the Schooner Fall Classic begins tomorrow, September 29, at 8:30 a.m. CT.
