Cards Shoot Lowest Round by a Team, Jump Six Spots on Day Two

Louisville carded a team score of 2-under-par 286, tied for the lowest round by any team
FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The University of Louisville women's golf team rebounded from a tough first day at the Mason Rudolph Championship, as the Cardinals carded a team score of 2-under-par 286, the lowest team round of the day. The Cards moved up six spots and now sit in eighth place.
The event is being hosted by Vanderbilt at the par-72, 6,460-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club - North Course. The host Commodores are tied with Charlotte in the team standings with a 1-under-par 575. Ashley Fowler of Charlotte sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 7-under-par 137.
UofL heads into the final day four shots back of seventh place Mississippi State. The Cardinals' second-round score of 286 is tied for the lowest round by any team so far during the tournament. The team finished with a combined 17 birdies on the day, second most behind Auburn's 18. Fifteen of their birdies came on the front nine, as the team finished a combined 9-unde-par on Nos. 1-9.
Lauren Hartlage led the Cards for the second straight day, finishing at 2-under-par 70 for the round. Through 36 holes, she is tied for 13th place with a 1-over-par 145. She finished the day with four birdies, three of which came on the front nine, where she shot a 3-under-par 33.
Delaney Shah carded a 1-under-par 71 during day two and now sits tied for 29th place with a 148. Shah finished her round her four birdies, all coming on the front nine. Lauren Thibodeau is also tied for 29th after shooting an even-par 72. Thibodeau was the third Cardinal on the day to record four birdies during her round, three of which came on the front nine.
One shot back in a tie for 39th place is Hana Ryskova. She carded a 1-over-par 73 for the round that included birdies on Nos. 4 and 6. Mairead Martin sits one back of Ryskova after shooting a 2-over-par 74. Martin finished her round with three birdies, all of which came on the front nine.
The final round of the Mason Rudolph Championship begins tomorrow, Sept. 22, at 8:30 a.m. CT.
