Cardinals are ranked No. 25 in the AVCA Coaches Poll

UofL has two rivalry matches on tap for this weekend in Kentucky and Cincinnati
The University of Louisville volleyball team moved to No. 25 in Week 3 of the AVCA Coaches Poll. The Cardinals fell 3-1 to No. 21 Purdue on Friday and then swept Xavier on Saturday at the LUV Tournament hosted by Lipscomb University in Nashville.Â
UofL put Aiko Jones and Alexis Hamilton on the All-LUV Tournament team. Aiko had 21 kills and seven blocks to pace the Cardinals' scoring. Alexis had 31 digs and three aces over the two matches.Â
This week, the Cardinals head to Lexington, Ky. to face instate rival Kentucky which moved to No. 16 and stand at 6-3 on the season. The Cards and the Cats square off at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at Memorial Coliseum. On Sunday, Louisville heads to former conference rival Cincinnati to face the Bearcats at 1 p.m. in Fifth/Third Arena.Â
