Elveroth and Sample Earn Preseason Recognition by Top Drawer Soccer

Elveroth named to the Men's Best XI Third Team, Sample named a first-year player that should make an impact
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The nationally ranked University of Louisville men's soccer team had a pair of players in Emil Elveroth and Bradley Sample earn preseason recognition by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Elveroth was named to the Preseason Men's Best XI Third Team. He is one of only two ACC forwards to be recognized on the list. A junior transfer from UNCW, Elveroth was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, which honors the United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Year in NCAA Division I men's and women's soccer.

Sample was named as one of eight first-year players that should come in and make an impact in their first year of college soccer. A midfielder from Channahon, Illinois, he played for the No. 1 team in the developmental academy. He helped guide his team to the 2017-18 USSDA U19 Quarterfinals.

The Cardinals enter the season ranked 9th by Top Drawer, 14th by the United Soccer Coaches and 15th by College Soccer News.
Louisville kicks off the 2019 season against Cleveland State Friday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m., inside Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
