
Elveroth Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

The junior transferred to UofL in the spring after playing two seasons at UNCW
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Louisville men's soccer junior forward Emil Elveroth has been named to the watch list for the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy presented by World Wide Technology, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club Thursday, August 1.

The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer. It has been presented annually since 1967 and honors the United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Year in NCAA Division I men's and women's soccer based on voting conducted by NCAA Division I coaches.

Elveroth and 35 other men's players were named to the watch list. He is one of only two forwards on the list from the ACC.

A native of Halmstad, Sweden, Elveroth begins his first season with the Cardinals after spending the last two years at UNCW. Last season he earned first team All-Atlantic Region honors and was named to the All-CAA First Team. In 20 games, he scored 11 goals and had five assists for 27 points. He also had five game-winners.

As a freshman, Elveroth started in 19 of 20 games scoring five goals with two assists. He led the CAA with four game-winning goals. He was named a Second-Team NCCSIA All-State selection. He was also a member of All-Colonial Athletic Association Third Team while earning CAA All-Rookie Team accolades and CAA All-Tournament team.
