Cardinals Set for Swing Through Virginia

UofL will face Virginia Tech and Virginia
The University of Louisville women's tennis team (10-10, 2-8) hits the road this weekend after closing out their 2019 home slate. The Cardinals travel to the state of Virginia, taking on Virginia Tech (7-12, 1-9) on Friday, April 5 and No. 20 Virginia (14-5, 6-4) on Sunday, April 7.Â

The Cards honored their seniors Aleksandra Mally and Sena Suswam last weekend. Mally picked up her eighth win of the season with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 win over Boston College's Elene Tsokilauri. Junior Raven Neely recorded another win, her 15th in 18 matches. The Golden Eagles defeated the Cardinals 5-2.Â

Last season, the Cardinals defeated Virginia Tech 4-3 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Against the Cavs, Mally posted a comeback singles victory, defeating Cassie Mercer 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5).
