Cardinals Fall To No. 17 Wake Forest

Raven Neely chalks up singles win
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to No. 17 Wake Forest 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

In doubles action, Sena Suswam and Dina Chaika fell to Chandler Carter and Emma Davis 6-1 on court one. Aleksandra Mally and Chloe Hamlin deafeated to Peyton Pesavento and Alexis Franco 6-4 on court three. Raven Neely and Diana Wong battled, but could not overcome M.C. Meredith and Eliza Omirou and fell 7-6 (7-1) on court two.

In singles, Neely earned the sole point for the Cardinals, taking down Saby Nahalani in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 on court four. On court five, Carter got the best of Wong, 6-2, 6-4 while #32 Davis defeated Suswam 6-1, 6-4 on court one.

Nikolina Jovic rallied but ultimately fell to Anna Ulyashchenko 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 on court two. On court three, Mally fell to Omirou, 6-4, 7-5. To wrap things up on court six, Dina Chaika managed to win a set from Pesavento, but fell 6-0, 5-6, 6-0.

The Cardinals return to action next Sunday as they host Boston College at 10 a.m.
