Louisville Women’s Golf 13th Through 36 Holes in Alabama

The Cardinals shot 18-over 306 in Sunday’s second round.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville women's golf team is in 13th place after two rounds of the Evans Derby Experience hosted by Auburn. The tournament is being played at Saugahatchee Country Club in Opelika, Ala.
Louisville carded a team score of 18-over par 306 on Sunday for a two-round total of 608.
Second-ranked Texas (579) leads by three shots over third-ranked Duke (582) at the top of the leaderboard. No. 8 Arkansas (584), No. 11 Florida State (585) and No. 14 Kent State (590) round out the top five.
Mairead Martin and Olivia Cason posted the low rounds of the day for the Louisville lineup, with the duo each shooting 3-over par 75 on Sunday. Cason is tied for 48th overall through 36 holes at 8-over par, while Martin is 11-over in 65th.
Lauren Hartlage shot 4-over 76 in the second round and is 3-over for the tournament. The junior is still inside the top 20 individually at 19th.
Lauren Thibodeau will enter the final round tied with Martin in 65th after turning in a round of 80 on Sunday. Linda Trockel closed out the team portion with a round of 85 and is in 82nd place.
Playing as an individual, Margot Bechadergue tallied three birdies on her way to a 1-under 71. It was the second-lowest round of the freshman's career and her second par or better round of the season. Bechadergue is tied for 12th overall at 1-over par heading into Monday.
The tournament will wrap up with the final 18 holes on Monday. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. CT.
