Cardinals Face Louisville City FC in Saturday's 502 Derby

Exhibition match starts at 5 p.m. at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In anticipation for Saturday's 502 Derby exhibition match between the University of Louisville men's soccer team and Louisville City FC, UofL head coach John Michael Hayden and LouCity head coach John Hackworth met for a press conference Thursday afternoon at the Falls City TapRoom.
Both coaches spoke with the media for 30 minutes while fans remained afterward for a meet-and-greet with the coaches. Tickets for the 502 Derby and team merchandise were made available, as well as catering from Centerplate and a tasting of Falls City's new Friend-de-Lis Red Ale, brewed specifically for Saturday's game.
The Cardinals and back-to-back USL Cup Champion LouCity FC will meet each other in the 502 Derby on Saturday at 5:02 p.m. at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. The friendly will be the first meeting between the two sides and is one of three public home matches for the Cards during their spring exhibition season.
For LouCity, this is their final exhibition match before their season opener at North Carolina FC on March 9 at 3 p.m. The Cards opened their exhibition season last Saturday with a 4-1 victory over SIU Edwardsville in a closed match at the Trager Center.
Tickets for the 502 Derby at Lynn Stadium are $10 for reserved chairback seats and $5 for general admission/berm seating and are currently on sale. Tickets can be purchased online at GoCards.com, by calling 502-GO-CARDS or by visiting the Louisville Cardinals Ticket Office, located near Gate 2 at Cardinal Stadium (2800 South Floyd Street) on weekdays from 9 a.m., until 5 p.m., ET.
