LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Coming off a victory over Kentucky in the Battle of the Bluegrass, the Louisville women's golf team returns to the course on Monday and Tuesday at the Moon Golf Invitational. The tournament is being played at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla.

Play begins with 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., and concludes with the final 18 holes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

The 16-team, 90-player field features six teams ranked inside the top 50 in the most recent Golfstat rankings. Eight other teams are ranked among the top 100.

All eight Cardinals will compete in the tournament Monday and Tuesday. Lauren Hartlage, Mairead Martin, Lauren Thibodeau, Olivia Cason and Linda Trockel make up the Louisville lineup. Margot Bechadergue, Meghan Nay and Delaney Shah will compete as individuals.

Louisville, who is serving as the host of the tournament, enters the event ranked No. 30 in the Golfstat rankings. The Cardinals took down in-state rival Kentucky in a match play event last Sunday. UofL won four of the five counting matches for a 4-1 victory.

The Cardinals were playing some of their best golf of the year at the conclusion of the fall, finishing up the fall season with a third-place showing at the Cardinal Cup and a victory at the Alexa Stirling Intercollegiate.

Hartlage, Martin and Shah all hold top-10 finishes this season. Hartlage leads the team in stroke average at 72.6 and was victorious 2 & 1 against ANNIKA Award candidate Leonie Bettel of Kentucky. Shah also picked up a 2 & 1 win in her match, while Martin is second on the team with a 73.6 average.
