Cardinals Sign Tatiana Simova

Simova is the top rated JUCO player in the nation
Tatiana Simova has signed a national letter of intent to continue her tennis career at the University of Louisville.

"From the first time I watched Tatiana play at the junior college nations this past spring, I knew she was someone to be reckoned with," said Mark Beckham, UofL head coach. "I knew we had to try to get her into our program. She has a very high tennis IQ and I am so impressed with her maturity and composure on court. She is going to be a great addition to our program next fall."

She is the No. 1-ranked junior college player in the country. Simova was the  U18 Slovakian champion in singles prior to being the runner-up of the U14 Slovak championship also in singles.  She participated in the U14 European Championship and was the Slovak champion in doubles U12,U14, and U16. Runner up in slovak championship in doubles U18

At ASA Junior College, she was the 2018- runner up at regionals in singles, champion in doubles
and took fourth place at nationals in singles as well as placing second in in doubles. As the 2018 Rookie of the Year of the Florida regional, she was also named the 2018 National Rookie of the year as she led her team to the National Championship. She took first place in singles in her flight and was first in doubles in her flight. Â

In 2019, she won first place at Regionals in both doubles and singles. She took first place at Nationals in singles and was the ITA Player of the Month for October and was a participant in the Fall ITA championship in California.
