Cardinals Set to Host Louisville Tennis Classic

Cards will host UTC, Marquette and Michigan State
LOUISVILLE Ky. - The University of Louisville's women's tennis team concludes its fall season with the Louisville Tennis Classic on Nov. 1-3 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cardinals welcome Marquette, Michigan State, and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (UTC). Play will begin at 10 a.m. on each day.

On Friday, the Cardinals will open with doubles matches against UTC at 10 a.m. and Michigan State at 11 a.m., followed by a singles match against Marquette at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will follow the same schedule with doubles matches against Marquette and UTC before going up against Michigan State in singles. The event will conclude Sunday afternoon with a doubles match against UTC. The other two days, the other teams will be competing in doubles matches at the same time as Louisville's while a second singles match will occur at 3:30 p.m.

Both Marquette and Michigan State finished with winning records in the 2018-19 season as Marquette finished 12-10 on the season while Michigan State finished 15-11. Marquette lost in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament. UTC finished the 2018-19 season with a 8-13 record. This tournament will mark the only meeting for Louisville with each of these teams this season.
