Cardinals Host Indiana Saturday, Intrasquad Scrimmage Friday Afternoon

Saturday’s exhibition game with Hoosiers with start at 11 a.m., ET; Friday’s scrimmage set for 2:30 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The fourth week of fall workouts for the University of Louisville baseball team will conclude with an exhibition scrimmage against Indiana on Saturday at 11 a.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium.
Batting practice will begin Saturday at approximately 9 a.m., and the scrimmage will lead into the Louisville football team's home game against Florida State, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. The Cardinals will also host an intrasquad scrimmage at Jim Patterson Stadium on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free for both baseball events at the corner of Third and Central.
Louisville will host intrasquad scrimmages each weekend into October before closing the fall with the annual Pizza Bowl series in mid-October. The specific dates and times for the intrasquad scrimmages as well as the Pizza Bowl will be announced each week. The Cardinals will also host its annual Scout Day activities on Friday, Oct. 4.
UofL entered the fall with returning seven starters in the batting order as well as 10 pitchers from last year's squad, which finished with a 45-19 record after advancing to the championship round of an NCAA Regional for the seventh straight season. Louisville also registered its seventh straight 40-win season and the 11th in 12 seasons under head coach Dan McDonnell.
