April 13, 2018 | Men's Soccer
Adam Wilson scores in the second half as the Cardinals earn 1-0 win in spring friendly
The first half saw no scoring from either team. The Cardinals had their best scoring chance in the 25th minute, when Adam Wilson's shot went flying past the goalkeeper before hitting the post and bouncing wide.
Nineteen minutes into the second half, Wilson scored the winning goal for the Cardinals. From the top of the box, Wilson sent his shot to the back of the net for the 1-0 lead that held for the remainder of the match.
Jake Gelnovatch and Will Meyer combined for a clean sheet in goal to end the homestand.Â
The Cardinals will play their final spring exhibition match in Columbus, Ohio on April 22 against the Columbus Crew.
