February 21, 2018 | Women's Lacrosse
The Cardinals and Bulldogs will square off at 2 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (2-1) travels to Indianapolis, Ind. on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET to square off against Butler.
After opening the season with wins in their first two games, the Cardinals fell for the first time this season on Saturday, 12-5 to Denver.Â
The game was played in snowy conditions and the Pioneers held junior Tessa Chad without a goal for the first time this season.
One positive in the loss was the play of the defense, which had 14 caused turnovers and forced 22 ground balls.
"I thought our defense played our system pretty well. We got the ball on the ground and forced some turnovers, but we just need to take advantage and grab possession," said head coach Scott Teeter.
Three games into the season, the Cardinals are still looking for their offense to click.
"I just think we can play smarter. We're still botching some of our offensive sets and that comes when you put in a new system like we did," added Teeter.
